Tarot Tuesday July 2nd

Tarot Tuesday

Take a moment and take a deep breath. Get centered, and grounded, then pick a card. By get centered I mean to get calm, focused, and to be present in the moment.  By get grounded I mean to uncross your feet and arms, with feet flat on the floor. It is also beneficial if you can quickly imagine roots shooting down from your root Chakra and feet into the Earth. Allow these roots to anchor you in a supportive way that neutralizes negativity, draining it away and draws up nurturing Earth energy for stability. Sometimes more than one  breath is needed to feel ready. Often three nice, slow, deep breaths are just right. Do what feels best for you…

When you feel ready pick the card that you feel the most drawn to. This week there are crystal hearts above each card that will be included in the following mini readings. From left to right the crystal hearts are Chrysocolla, Sunstone, and Super Seven. This weeks deck is the Morgan-Greer Tarot Deck published by U.S. Games Systems Inc.

Tarot Reveal

From left to right we have Chrysocolla above The Chariot, Sunstone above the Four of Swords, and Super Seven above the Nine of Cups. Take note of your initial reaction to your chosen card, compare this with how you feel after the mini-reading for the card. Awareness is the first step to developing intuition. Was this the card you expected, or did the message resonate with you? Sometimes it might take some time before it makes sense, or sometimes it just might not be the right message for you at this moment.

Chrysocolla

Chrysocolla is a copper stone often found growing with Azurite and Malachite, and sometimes contains Cuprite. It can be found in the form of Gem Sillica, a crystallized form where the Chrysocolla is fused with Quartz. It ranges in colors from blues to greens. This crystal is known as a stone of empowerment for feminine energies, a stone for wise women, and as a Goddess stone. It is also known as a crystal that encourages people to stay home and not feel negative effects from seclusion. A stone for monks, hermits, and even prisoners. Helpful for public speaking and teaching, for sharing your knowledge. It is associated with the throat chakra, and the heart chakra through its blue and green coloring. In divination this crystal may mean that you need to be generous or allowing with someone whom you don’t particularly like. It may call on you to be diplomatic or tactful with someone at this time.

The Chariot

The Chariot is the seventh Trump, or Major Arcana card in most Tarot decks.  It’s element is water, and is said to correspond  to the sign of Cancer. It is ruled by the Moon. This card depicts a powerful figure in a Chariot usually being pulled by two sphinxes, or sometimes two horses.  Keywords include willpower, drive, overcoming obstacles, moving forward, a journey, confidence, and ambition. Reversed keywords might include self doubt, lack of direction, scattered energy, or being stuck. This card is about overcoming fears and conflicts, and moving forward. This card often points to a need to “stay the course” and make it through any issues or challenges. Hard work and commitment will ultimately lead one to success. Meditate, or sit with any problems and gain clarity from your intuitive inner guidance. Then stay the course, moving past any fears to a place of self-confidence.  I have found the Chariot card to be a lot like the sign of Cancer’s symbol the crab. The rider would seem to be tough, as he is protected by the shell of the chariot, and in some decks even armor. He takes this protection with him as he ventures out into the world, so he may get to where he wants to be while staying safe. Sensitive water types could use this imagery to help themselves navigate a sometimes harsh outside world.

Sunstone

Sunstone is a member of the Feldspar family with inclusions of Geothite and Hematite that refract light between the different crystal layers. The best known deposit location in the U.S. is in Oregon, but it is also found in Pennsylvania, Virginia, and New York. It is mined in other places around the globe like Australia, Canada, China, Congo, India, Mexico, Norway, Russia, Sri Lanka, and Tanzania. This crystal is said to be an abundance stone, a stone of luck and vitality that brings joy. It is thought to be akin to the powers of the Sun and light. It cleans and clears all Chakras, but is thought to be stimulating for the Root and Sacral Chakras. In divination Sunstone suggests allowing yourself to enjoy the present moment without worrying about the future.

Four of Swords

This card is the fourth card in the suit of Swords in the Minor Arcana. It carries the energy of Jupiter in Libra with the modality and element of cardinal air astrologically. It signals a time of renewal and expansive thinking. The image on the card is of a weary knight reclining on a stone slab in a chapel, he appears to be in deep meditation. Some keywords for this card include solitude, rest, withdrawal, reevaluating perspectives and strategies,  setting goals, opening to guidance from higher energies, optimistic, expansive and balanced. Swords represent the energies of our thinking and thoughts, communications, breathing, speech, and discrimination. The number four in numerology holds the energy of foundations, balance, sturdiness, the four directions, four elements, and even the energy of home, roots, and ancestry. If you were drawn to this card this week you may need some time alone to reflect on some things, and become clear about what steps to take next. It also might point to a need to simply begin or deepen a meditation practice at this time.

Super Seven

Super Seven, also known as Melody’s Stone, or Sacred Seven, is a combination of Amethyst, Clear Quartz, Smoky Quartz, Cacoxenite, Rutile, Geothite, and Lepidocrocite. From Brazil, this stone shares the healing and metaphysical properties of each crystal and is a powerful stone for healing and wellness on all levels. It brings the body’s energy flow back into alignment, aligns all the Chakras, but works most effectively with the Crown Chakra.  It is said to aid psychic abilities and to allow for connection to Divine guidance. In divination this crystal suggests that you can trust not only your intuition but that you are protected right now. This assurance should help you to take chances this week with putting yourself out there in the world, this is a week to allow yourself to be confident and speak your truth.

Nine of Cups

This card is the ninth card in the Minor Arcana Suit of Cups. It has the astrological correspondence of Jupiter in Pisces, and the modality and element of mutable water. The image shows a satisfied figure usually thought to be a merchant, sitting before a half circle of cups. This card is known as the “wish card”, often thought to represent a wish come true, or a “yes’ to a question. Nine is a wrapping up or culmination, and cups represent emotions. Some keywords and ideas associated with this card include good health, prosperity and growth, pride in past accomplishments, social events, comfort, and success. If you have been drawn to this card this week you should expect to be feeling pleased with yourself by the week’s end, this could come from a business risk that pays off, or a social event that you feel went better than expected. In either case feeling a sense of confidence before and during, and a sense of pride after.
